Question for fellow atheists?

As an atheist I certainly believe life has developed somewhere out there in this fast ocean we call the universe. I highly doubt they have came here. I think that because the universe is so large they would have to have mastered the art of traveling at the speed of light to get here. People who claim they have been abducted for the most part are not lying...intentionally. The mind is an amazing organ and it can play tricks on us. You should look up the use of different methods of brain trickery in controlled settings to show how fallible the mind is and how easily tricked it can be. When I was a young girl I swore I saw a ghost...looking back on that experience I see how me being scared and anxious worked me up into exaggerating what happened. Most of these encounters and abductions are misinterpretations of something else. Just my thoughts.
