Department names in a non-profit orginization?

My school has a INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES program where a student can combine majors to create a unique major that most universities wouldn't offer. By the time i graduate, I would like to work in a non profit organization, I want to plan activities to uplift the children. For example plant trees, build recreation centers, playgrounds, homeless shelters etc. I would also like to do things like organize fashion shows for the young girls with clothes that they made to bring up self-esteem levels. What is the title of the person who does this in a non profit organization, and how can I incorporate all these interests in a major/minor? PLEASEE HELP!!
