What are some tips for maintaining fingernails for flemenco and clical guitar playing?

I play almost all styles of guitar and I've been really trying to get my clical and finger-style technique up. Obviously i need nails for this but my nails are naturally very flimsy and weak... i can completely bend my nails backwards, that's how flimsy they are.. and consequently they chip very easily which is the thing im trying to avoid. I currently use super glue and put 2 coats of it and let it dry overnight but i find that after 3 -5 hours into the day without even playing guitar the glue starts to chip off and looks really bad. also if i try playing guitar with these chips, the nails snag on the string and it basically rips the super glue off. I've had people tell me about acrylic coats of polish and such... some just say get fake nails but my girlfriend would never approve of it because they look "gay".. she doesn't even like them long in the first place...

Getting a message to my son in Iraq-already tried the Red Cross?

My 19 yo son is in Iraq, having gone there over a month ago from his stateside post. My spouse and I had to change our number due to obscene/threatening phone calls which were occasionally being intercepted by our young children still at home. For obvious reasons, we didn't really have a choice in the matter. Since my son has been in Iraq, he has only been able to call once and we don't have a mailing address for him yet. I know with him working 20 hour shifts in that heat as an infantryman, his morale could use a boost from occasional communications from us, be it in letter, etc (I currently have 3 care packages waiting for an address to ship them for him and the guys he's serving with). What type of plant is this?

I am trying to figure out what type of potted plant I am caring for in my office (anyone who knew has long since moved on). It grows in vines, enjoys a lot of sunlight and water, the stems are stiffer than what I am used to seeing in vine like plants (almost twig like) and on the velvety side. The leaves are green and grow in clusters of 3. They are vaguely triangular in shape and have approximately 5 points on each leaf. They are thin and not waxy (like those on ivy plants). I recently received a 2010 Earned Income Tax Return Form from the Municipal Tax Collector for Schuykill Township which belongs to Chester County. However, I am a resident of Upper Providence Township which belongs to Montgomery County. I am at lost what to do at this point and I am not sure who to contact. What should I title this novel that I am working on?

I am working on this novel. It is about a normal girl who meets this guy who is a Colban, which is an unknown group of people that creep during the night, staying in dark, abandoned houses. Their skin is coated with clear steel, which would melt if they stayed in the sunlight for too long. They hunt humans since their bodies can't process such little meet, or else they would starve. They have to eat at least once every two weeks, and all of the Colban's around the world meet every month in a special, dark place (I haven't figured it out just yet,) to share scraps of meals. Garrett, the male protagonist, is sick of living inside, not being able to live a normal life. He hates seeing people content with their lives since he is not. He wants to be free and be able to go outside for longer than ten minutes. Conflict arises when the King Bart, the King of the Colban's, tells Garrett that he and his biological Colban daughter, Debra, have to mate. (King Bart picks out the most powerful Colban's with the strongest traits so they can eventually produce a child who will help them eventually conquer the world.) Garrett is angry by this, since he is only seventeen years old, as well as Debra. He goes to the gas station market, where Polly, the main girl protagonist, works, and buys some liquor to celebrate with the Colban's, as they are having a party. He is wearing a suspicious black outfit, with a hoodie and sungles. Polly is taken back by this, but she gets over it. Anyway, she meets them and it's a whole big conflict as she tries to solve their problem (being a genius,) and to cure their Colbanisim. Can she do it before Garrett and Debra have to eventually and unfortunately mate? Will Polly and Garrett form a friendship, and even fall in love later on? Is the plot ok? One guy and two best friends?

So last year i met this girl(girl #1) in an elective cl in my grade with her best friend(girl#2). In this cl i had talked to #1 and we were friendly maybe a little flirting but ya know she always hung around with her best friend. The first semester this year i had another elective with her and we were friendly, but she still had a good friend in the cl who would ALWAYS talk to her before and after the cl. And btw once i was doing a presentation with a partner in the cl and at one point i mispronounced something and she laughed hysterically, which she has done a couple times too. So after the first semester i never really saw her much, but her bestfriend(#2) was in my history cl. I used to sit on the other side of the room from her so we never really interacted, but moved to the seat to the left of her around feb/march. We never had conversations mostly b/c i talked to my friend on my left and she talked to her friends on her right. We had a few ya know casual stuff in class, like an occassional question or something. So today a bunch of kids brought in food like brownies and candy, and my friend was throwing skittles up into the air to catch in his mouth. He missed a few and picked them up and put them on my desk. i didn't want to them so i just said 'fine i'll put them on #2's desk (b/c she went to the bathroom), but no what if she actually eats it or something?' so my friend threw them so they bounced off #2's desk and landed in the area of another girl. One of them rolled over back to me so then i actually put it on her desk, idk i was sorta curious what she would do. She gets back and goes to work, doesn't say anything of acknowledgement. So after a minute or two i say 'hey #2" 'ya?' 'can you do me a favor?' 'sure' 'can you take that skittle, and push it off your desk?' She smiles and justs pushes it off. I thought she would be confused and maybe hesitantly push it off, but idk the way she did with her smile was pretty flirty, i liked it. I just feel like one of them likes me and if i ask out the wrong one, they'll both be off the market, they are BEST friends. Do you guys have any advice? do you think either of them like me? 2 years ago I had an ectopic pregnancy that left me with only 1 tube. I am now 5 days late and having awful nausea. Why Can't I be comfortable With My Body?

I am 126 pounds and about to be a junior. I feel like over time my stomach, gut, hips, and thighs have been getting so much bigger. I am not exaggerating, but my thighs are unporportionate with my body. Also, lately my hips, gut, and fat hang over my jeans and i hate it so much. Soffit vent install problem?

Yes. Use the round face vents and the biggest you can get to fit the board. Space these about 2ft apart and start at the center. As for the gable vents not doing their job; remove enough material or (slats) from the gable on the east or north side and frame this in from the attic to accept a fan driven vent, electrically controlled with a thermostat. I'm uming you have electric in the attic. When the fan kicks in it will exhaust the hot air to the outside. I just installed one of these myself, setting it at 90d. This is the best way to do it. The regular venting just doesn't do it because they are dependent on the wind. Good luck!

What more can I do to help my blind dog cope with his recent loss of sight?

My 11 y/o snoodle (schnauzer and poodle mix) has just gone blind within the last week. He has diabetes and has to have insulin shots every 12 hours. His diabetes may have been late in diagnosing and is a contributing factor to his gradual loss of eyesight. The vet warned us that even with his shot regimen to control his diabetes, blindness was probably inevitable. So now we are coping with his blindness by tapping on everything from his feeding bowl to the exit door to the outside. Fortunately, he can still hear and smell well so he appears to be using those senses to compensate. I'm not moving any furniture and his normal pathways through the house are kept barrier-free. Can anyone think of anything else I can do to help him live the rest of his days relatively happy and comfortable?

A question about cb radio antennas?

I have a simple Uniden pro 510xl radio.....i have a simple 4 foot cb antenna (i dont know much about it, all i know is its not a loaded antenna) and i want to get the best range out of my four watts.....i live in a heavily forested area and am pretty level with everything else around me.....i dont want to install the antenna outside and i was wondering if i could install it in my attic.......the walls in my attic are pretty thin with no insulation on the ceiling......no wires or pipes either.....there is little between the antenna and the outside world (i have a non-metallic shingled roof (also pretty thin).....so if i installed the antenna in my attic, will it affect my performance compared to if i installed it outside at the same height?.....i know it will attenuate the signal slightly if i installed it in my attic but i dont have a good idea on how radio waves in the cb frequency range propagate.....so could i still get 6 miles or so with the attic-mounted antenna, or is outside the only way?

You have to keep your writing style in either past or present. Some things sound a little strange with their phrasing. Also, you should right it so it flows more. Some things just seem abrupt, jumping from one sentence to another. To be honest, it needs a bit of work. Supposedly the building carried asbestos and even though the risks of that are mainly in the demolition of a building....there were holes in the walls and many patches among the piping. My gun is a Spyder Rodeo, and I got it from a yard sale a while ago. But recently I went out to go play with some friends and I went to shoot my gun (with a full CO2 tank) it just kept shooting and would not stop until I took the tank out. It also didn't shoot any paint , if that helps add to the description. It also has a leak, which I taped up to try to mitigate the problem. Why is my java not working right on yahoo and pogo?

When I open up yahoo pinochle and sit at a table my java has a caution sign in the corner of the page. The cation sigh says java script when i put the curser over it. Some days I will be able to play with some slight mess ups. On other days the error wil cause my pc to crash. I have tried the java in two other browsers and it still acted up. Why can't the Royal Mail deliver the post before 8am like they use to?

In those days 2 and 3 delivers a DAY were not uncommon now the reason its later is simply MONEY. Its cheaper for various reasons to have 1 delivery a day as most people are out working now anyway. In the Usa Australia South africa its not uncommon to get you post about 3pm with no delivery at the weekend. Here most places still get it before 3pm AND we still deliver on a sat.Its sad its changing but its a changing world complain to your MP its the goverment behind all the changes after all they own the post office. Please help me trying to conceive?

Been trying to conceive for 2 years and not preggers yet. Started with a fertility clinic doing one round with clomid and HCG trigger shot with timed . then in the last two months did clomid, HCG injection, with IUI to boost pregnancy. I have been ovualting per the DR's. Last month I had 2 follicles that we were 21mm and 23mm. But I am spotting with cramping which I guess my period is going to start. I just recently started spotting in the last 6 months. What else should I be doing? I want to get pregnant before I am 35 and that is in 3 years or less.
