How do you order a book from amazon and get it on the same day it comes out?

My grandmother used to order books all the time (Harry Potter) and they would arrive on her doorstep the same day it came out, how can i do the same with the books that i want on amazon. I know about 1 day shipping, but doesnt that mean it will come the day after?
