I want to get closer with God.. Some guidance please?

Bro, I know how it feels to hunger for our great God. Somedays I feel so empty and I feel he's so far away. I know how it feels so want to know him and come closer to him. Right now he feels so far away from me I feel like getting on my face and crying. Why? Somet4hing about brokeness that brings us closer to God. Listen to the song "bring the rain" by mercy me. This jesus camp. Pray ab out it and let God open those doors. Pray, read the bible everyday and just get to know our God. Being around other Christians is another way of being closer to God.
